Why I Am Doomed to a Life of Spinsterhood

2000-06-30::22:03:40

God, why am I such a stalker? I feel sorry for any boy I have ever had a crush on. Thanks to that boy at the club on Wednesday night, I have not been able to get my psych instructor out of my head. I thought I was over him, but seeing that boy made me start thinking about him again. So, last night I got home and decided to go online before going to bed. My friend Katie once told me that when she likes someone she searches for their name on Yahoo to see if they have a webpage or anything, so last night I decided to search for my instructor. I found some interesting things out about him, like that he won some award from GTE for being some All-American Athlete sort of deal. Turns out that not only was he this great tennis player in college, but also that he graduated with a 4.0. I also found out that he went to Harding University in Arkansas for undergrad, and so never having heard of them, I went to their website to find out more about the school. Turns out that it is a Christian university. Now, I don't have a problem with Christianity or any other religion, every one is entitled to their own beliefs, but I am an atheist, and so I can kiss my dreams of marrying my psych instructor goodbye. What devout Christian would ever date an atheist, let alone marry one? Just my luck.

My Smiths anthem is...'What She Said' My Smiths anthem is... "What She Said"
Snarl, cynic, snarl! Your philosophy and intellect seem to have gotten the best of you, and you seem to like it so far (at least outwardly). People? Who needs people when you have books and mountains of rationalization? Consider whether your bad luck in life may be the result of a matching mountain of self-pity, and try something new for a change (or someone new...)
"What She Said" is from Meat Is Murder.
