Chris, the Taste Fest, and the Shelter

2000-07-03::02:51:34

I wasn't going to do this tonight. Instead what I was going to do was go to bed. Me tired tonight, and with good reason, I had one hell of a day. First I went to work where I stayed from 9-4. I met this really cool guy who works there today. His name is Chris and he is our cafe manager. He is cute, and nice, and talkative, so I had fun with him today. I found every excuse in the world to walk by or talk to him. Then after work I went down to the Detroit Taste Fest with some friends of mine. It wasn't bad. It gave us something to do to kill time at least. Oh, and we got to take the Pepsi Challenge! I have been drinking cola all of my life, both Pepsi and Coke, but for some reason I couldn't tell the difference today. I felt so ashamed. Then after our exciting time at the Taste Fest, we headed out to St. Andrews where a local radio station was having an electronic music night. We got there like 10 minutes before it started, and for some reason we thought we were invincible because we proceeded to walk around Detroit in the dark until the club opened. Did I say club? You bet I did. Thought I swore off of them, didn't you? I did for the most part, but I let them talk me into going tonight. One thing I can say is I did have fun sweating like a pig and dancing my ass off. Oh, however, here is a helpful hit for anyone who plans to go down there for the electronic music night or whatever. Bring earplugs. It started off ok there, but the music just kept getting louder and louder. In, fact my ears are still ringing. We left the club early tonight since everyone was getting tired, and were met on the freeway by this horrible downpour. We are lucky we made it home alive. Night!

My Smiths anthem is...'What She Said' My Smiths anthem is... "What She Said"
Snarl, cynic, snarl! Your philosophy and intellect seem to have gotten the best of you, and you seem to like it so far (at least outwardly). People? Who needs people when you have books and mountains of rationalization? Consider whether your bad luck in life may be the result of a matching mountain of self-pity, and try something new for a change (or someone new...)
"What She Said" is from Meat Is Murder.
