Harry Potter and Twin Peaks

2000-07-09::17:45:45

Well, I have officially survived Harry Potter weekend. I thought this weekend would be a lot worse, but considering how psycho people can be things went amazingly well. In case I haven't mentioned it before, I work in a bookstore. Bookstores are fun. This is the second bookstore I have worked in, and I love it. I had to leave the first store I worked at because I needed to devote more time to school. That and my manager was lazy and immature. Anyway, now I am at a new bookstore, it is only my 3rd week there, and I love it. Everyone who works there is so cool. Enough about that though. I like work, but I don't really want to think about it when I am not there. Last night I saw the pilot episode of Twin Peaks. We thought we had rented Fire Walk with Me which was the movie based on the series, but instead we ended up with the feature length pilot. I didn't think I was going to like it at first, but now I can say I am hooked. When the series was out I was too young to watch it, but now the episodes are at my new favorite video store (Hollywood Video!!!) and so I am planning on renting every one of them! If you haven't ever seen an episode of Twin Peaks, I recommend heading off to your local Hollywood Video, looking in the Cult Classics catergory, and starting with that first one. You'll get hooked just like me.

My Smiths anthem is...'What She Said' My Smiths anthem is... "What She Said"
Snarl, cynic, snarl! Your philosophy and intellect seem to have gotten the best of you, and you seem to like it so far (at least outwardly). People? Who needs people when you have books and mountains of rationalization? Consider whether your bad luck in life may be the result of a matching mountain of self-pity, and try something new for a change (or someone new...)
"What She Said" is from Meat Is Murder.
