HTML, X-Mas, and Amy

2001-01-02::04:24:41

Sorry I haven't updated in so long! Ha, like anyone cares. Actually I was going to wait to update until after I redesigned this page, but I don't know when I am going to get that done. I got real serious about it around eleven tonight, and read through all of the stuff I collected on HTML, but web design is tough. I really give props to anyone who can figure it out, because I am so completely clueless when it comes to HTML. Tomorrow I am bound and determined to figure it out though. Does anyone have any ideas for the new layout? All I know is that although I like both of these colors, the navy blue and silver are gone. Hmmm, I guess we will all have to wait patiently to see what I can come up with.

How was everyone's Christmas? Mine was great. My parents spoiled me this year. You know, I am going to be twenty-one next month, you would think they would have stopped babying me by now. I don't know why I am complaining though. I love it. This year my favorite present was my CD writer. CD writers are great. If you don't have one, you really need to get one. I don't know how I lived without one for so long. I can make CDs of songs I download from Napster, and I can make mixed CDs for all of my friends. Definitely one of the best presents I have ever received, second only to my computer.

Tonight I keep getting reminded of an ex-friend of mine, and not in a good way. Her name is Amy, and tonight I have seen her everywhere- in the face of Rose McGowan, acting like a tramp at the MTV New Year's Bash, for example, but mostly in the face of Juliette Lewis in this movie I half paid attention to tonight. I can't remember the name of it now, which doesn't really matter because it was really dumb, but the character was so like my friend Amy, except with more heart. Juliette was even sporting the same choppy, short haircut Amy wore. It's really horrible to be reminded of her in that way.

My Smiths anthem is...'What She Said' My Smiths anthem is... "What She Said"
Snarl, cynic, snarl! Your philosophy and intellect seem to have gotten the best of you, and you seem to like it so far (at least outwardly). People? Who needs people when you have books and mountains of rationalization? Consider whether your bad luck in life may be the result of a matching mountain of self-pity, and try something new for a change (or someone new...)
"What She Said" is from Meat Is Murder.
